Emmanuelle Murphy – BA(Hons)
Studied at: The Open University – BA(Hons); University of Bristol – PGCE Music
Emmanuelle has played the piano since the age of five and achieved Merit at Grade 8 in Piano and Singing, also achieving Grade 5 Clarinet and a Distinction in Grade 5 Theory of Music. She has performed in a great number of stage plays and musicals, taking leading roles in West Side Story, Oliver and Fiddler on the Roof. She has also sung solo at Colston Hall, and played the piano for a Marie Curie Cancer Care event.
She spends much of her spare time as Musical Director for youth theatre companies, where she teaches young people to sing and perform onstage during musical productions and concerts. For this, she has received excellent reviews from associations such as the Rosebowl, NODA and Somerset Fellowship of Drama.
Emmanuelle also performs as a solo artist, playing the piano and singing at venues in the local area.
In September 2012 Emmanuelle began studying PGCE Music at Bristol University. She intends to complete the course and gain Qualified Teacher Status within the next year. She has recently accepted the position of Vocals Teacher at a Secondary school in Bristol.
Yasmin Frampton – BA(Hons)

Yasmin has been passionate about singing and performing since a very early age. Her love of music developed at primary school where she learnt to play all shapes and sizes of recorder, from treble to bass and then onto cello at the age of eight. At high school Yasmin furthered her ambitions to be a singer and performer by undertaking formal vocal tuition and broadened her musical horizons through learning to play the alto saxophone and the piano. Alongside instrumental tuition and participating in high school musical ensembles, Yasmin was also a part of the Saturday Music School at Leeds College of Music and played with the City of Leeds Youth Orchestra. In sixth form she added the Garforth Jazz Rock Orchestra to her list of musical commitments and enjoyed playing keyboard for youth theatre performances in her spare time. During this period Yasmin achieved grade 8 distinction in singing and grade 7 on both the cello and piano.
After sixth form Yasmin studied at York University where she gained her BA(Hons) in Music. Whilst here she experienced and enjoyed performing music to a very high standard and achieved ‘firsts’ in all of her solo performance modules. Alongside her studies and university commitments she was a member of the University Choir, Chamber Choir, Opera Society and has played in the university sinfonietta, cello group and many other small instrumental and vocal ensembles. In addition she has had the honour of being a soloist numerous times in Chamber Choir concerts and has enjoyed performing as a part of the York Early Music Festival in a choir led by Peter Seymour.
On relocating to Bristol in September 2012, Yasmin immediately became a member of the Bristol Bach Choir. As a member of this choir she has sung as a soloist in concerts at St Mary Redcliffe and St George’s concert hall in Bristol. Yasmin has also played cello with the Thornbury orchestra and has worked with the Bristol based, And Then We Danced Production Company on a theatre piece that was performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival during summer 2013.
Yasmin aspires to be a successful and inspirational musician and teacher, introducing and interesting as many people as possible in the world of music.
